Laura Sturge Kendall

Aunt Annie, I have been think about what to write since yesterday. What do you say about someone who was such a constant fixture in your life? Since I can remember Uncle Abe has been in my daily life. He visited almost every day (even after I moved away and woild visit). He would greet me with a strong squeeze, kiss and a, "Hi, lovers!" Having him there was just like having anyone else in the house - it was my normal. I would always get him a cup of tea, even if he said he didn't want it, and "a bite to eat". I would usually be in the shower when I would hear him hollar for my dad- he was ALWAYS there. It is funny because you never really know what to say when someone who is so present in your life is no longer there. I have been thinkning about it a realize that it's all thesw little moments that make up a person's life. It's all these little moments that make a person so significant and all of these little momen's are why I loved Uncle Abe so much. I will miss him especially when I come home and he is no longer walking the the house hollaring for my dad, but I will remember all of the moments that made him special to me. I love you, Aunt Annie and please know that I am praying for you and sending you love. I just wish I could be there to give a big "Uncle Abe squeeze" xoxoxo
