Uncle Abe was always a beacon of joy any time he came to visit, it was something about looking out the window as a small child after hearing his truck pull in the driveway, seeing that man in a ball cap and always whistling a tune, opening the creeky storm door and yelling out to dad "what are ya at brodder?!" It was always a treat. Every memory I have of him is cheerful, and many involved a cup of tea. Uncle Abe is at peace and I'm sure he is already finding the best grounds for cod fishing in heaven.
