Life Story for Jacob Ira Hunt

Jacob Ira  Hunt
Jacob “Jake” Hunt, 75, of Centreville, passed away peacefully, Monday, December 26, 2016 at Bonnews Lodge, Badger’s Quay, following a short fight with aggressive Alzheimer’s. Jake is survived by his wife, Annie (Tuff) Hunt; his daughter, Lisa Hunt (Tony Hunt); his son, Jeffrey Hunt (Sandra Locke) and his only granddaughter, Shaelyn Hunt of whom he was extremely proud. Jake is survived by his eight brothers, Cator (Bernice), Marshall (Katherine), Percy (Rose), Sam (Ida), Arthur (Mary), Harry (Sondra), Wilfred (Linda), and Roland (Maude); three sisters, Jessie (Zach), Edna (Don), and Myrtle (Cecil) and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jacob and Amelia, and three brother’s Steve (Melina), Jim (Rose) and Felix (Ethel). Jake was a loving father, husband, grandfather and friend to many.
Jake loved carpentry work and was always there to help friends with projects or whatever else they needed him for. Some of his hobbies included fishing, hunting, playing cards and he also enjoyed cutting wood.
A special thank you to the nurses and staff at Bonnews Lodge for all their care, support and hospitality.
Cremation will take place on Wednesday, December 28, and a Celebration of Life is being planned in the spring.
